Sharing with you all the step-by-step recipe of Aamras — a sweet taste of summer, straight from the heart and kitchen.
Ingredients:
2 ripe mangoes (Alphonso or Kesar preferred)
1–2 tbsp sugar (optional, depending on the mangoes sweetness or your personal sweet tooth.
¼ tsp cardamom powder
A pinch of saffron strands
2–4 tbsp milk or water
Instructions:
1. Peel and chop the ripe mangoes. Discard the seed.
2. In a blender, add the chopped mango pieces to begin the process.
3. Add sugar if needed, based on the mango’s natural sweetness or your personal sweet tooth.
4. Add cardamom powder and saffron strands for added flavor.
5. Once all the ingredients are added, give it a nice blend until the texture is smooth and silky.
6. To adjust the consistency add water or boiled and cooled milk, preferably milk, as it gives a richer, creamier texture , if the consistency is too thick.
7. Chill before serving.
